    Kent is here in my office right now taking a test. I showed him this picture and he wanted to make sure everyone knew that he could drive #9 green with his putter and you couldn't, Hatcher. :-)

    That -- believe it or not -- is a true story. Kent was getting a 'little' frustrated one round and by the 9th hole was just goofing around decided to tee off with his putter. He hit a great drive I remember. Curt and I were laughing and dumbstruck. I don't recall if he tried to putt with his driver though. TOM H.

    I can vouch for it, as well. I believe that it was the only time anyone in our regular group of hackers ever drove the No. 9 green. The fact that Kent did it with a putter made it even more amazing. If I recall correctly, numerous attempts by all of us to replicate the putter shot in ensuing years resulted only in drives looking like, well, the fine shot depicted in this photo of Kent. Can you say sky ball?
