I swear I am turning into my mother scouring over the obits. ANYWAY - I noticed that Penny Newhard's mother passed away. I don't know if she is involved in blogging on the reunion site, but I thought you might want to put it out there since she is one of our classmates.

Hope all is well with you! I am stressing at work and we are getting a new roof and windows at home, so life is chaotic!! Not to mention that Ryan has baseball games almost every night, etc.!! Calgon, take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(As I write this, it occurs to me that this picture was taken at Scott's Welcome Home Party. Scott's birthday was on Thanksgiving Day and I knew that and I totally blew it off. I got Happy Thanksgiving wishes from Scott, but he never fessed up that it was his birthday and I was too busy trying not to burn my turkey to remember. So, Happy Birthday to Scott, one month and eight days late. Sorry I forgot!!)

Graduation is over - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We even dodged the big storm that night! Things are MUCH better now!!
I am gearing up for a big visit from Bing and Betty and Janet and John. They are coming up for Father's Day weekend. I am looking forward to it!! We just did some new landscaping in our front yard and Bing is itching to see it! HA!
I can now read the blog from school, just can't see the pictures. I chuckled at all your attic "findings!!"
I am meeting with a photographer today regarding Ryan's senior photos. I can't believe it???
Must flee back to work.
This is my front yard. I have carpal tunnel from painting that damn fence!! HA!!!

APPLES AND WINE

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.
Now men....men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

So now that your dad is home, how are things going? Hope all is well and you can have a well-deserved, relaxing weekend.

I will be spending my weekend at the baseball diamonds. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I am going to be smart this time and apply PLENTY of sunscreen!!! I have so many things I need to get done around the house, but I need to remember that very soon I will have NO baseball, so I must embrace it while it lasts!! HA!

Busy for me at work with the end of the year and graduation - UGH!! Best get back to it.

So give me an update on your birthday yesterday. Were you lavished with gifts and such???

Also, how are things on the Pete and Ruth front? Your dad is such a strong positive person and I just know he will come through this fine. I hope your mom is getting better and will be able to get through all this as well. I did talk to my parents and they told me to tell you that they will do anything you need them to and not to hesitate to ask!

Must get back to all my Administrative Professional's Day feasting. We have food galore. LOVE IT!! I will NOT be loving my workout tonight, but life is for living and I am gonna eat snacks if I want to!!!!

LET'S ASK DIANE NORTON....

Let's ask Diane if she even vaguely remembers going to Leonardo's after Homecoming our sophomore year?!? I highly doubt she does since she never entered the restaurant.

I remember her rolling down a ditch along Highway 30, a cop stopping to ask what was wrong, her date telling the cop she "had the flu" and her sleeping in the back seat of the car while the rest of us enjoyed a tasty pizza!

And, let's not even mention the bright red Sloe Gin stain on the front of her dress. She told her mom it was Kool-Aid. Sad part is, her mom believed her. I am not sure how she explained the mud and grass stains from her tumble down the ditch.

Don't these people know I have absolutely no willpower and they are forcing me to work out EXTRA hard???? Not to mention that every Tom, Dick, and Harry who made New Year's resolutions to lose weight are crowding the gym where I work out!!!

I hesitated even calling because I figured things would be crazy foryou. No need to phone back anyway. Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you!!

So how do you think your dad is doing mentally? I have a co-worker who was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer last October, which as you know is usually a death sentence. They removed a tumor thesize of a deflated volleyball?????? She went through chemo and now, one year later is in remission. She remained so amazingly positive throughout the entire ordeal it was unbelievable!!! Your dad has to be one of the strongest most positive people I know. If anyone can beat this, it's him!

I don't think Sharon has seen her photo yet!! HA!! I agree that I just LOVE reading the blog each day. Deb Wilcox is a hoot!! It's really amazing that after 25 years I feel like we are all just picking up where we left off in high school. LOVE IT!!!

Stay strong and remain positive!! You've got tons of love flowing your way!! Give your dad a huge hug for me!!

He called the wrong number twice, before he got me the third time.

He is doing well nonetheless. :-) It was good to hear from him!!!
