Yes, alive..... And, yes, we were out wining and dining; celebrated eleven years on Saturday.

Was reading Dave George's update -- and saw he was a scout leader. Here's a photo from the early 70's of a group of goofy cub scouts.

Back row: Brian Zimmerman, Dave George, Brian Ketelsen, Phil Ortgies. Front row: Kevin Conley, Tom Hatcher, Kip Haverly.

  1. Tom - Congrats on the anniversary!

And, keep the voting situation on the up and up down there in Broward County, will you? We need no more hanging chads.

  3. Deb, what a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing. As Kelly Fearing said, it's good to know there are kind people left in this world.

Absolutely.... their dad is very proud. As he should be.

  4. I am a Webelos leader, and my boy loves it. We will be marching on Sat in a Vet's day parade.

Might see some of you the days following Christmas, will be in town. Not sure what day, we may make an overnight trip to Ames.

  5. Brian ~ if you are in town and you don't call me - 319-210-2400 - I will personally come down to Florida and kick your ass!! I'll kick Hatcher's while I am there. Just because I can.

We WILL make it work over Christmas. Everyone let me know when you will be home and we can work it out. Let's make it a point to see that this happens. It is that important. It really is...

  6. Watch out Brian, she has a lot of whoopass in her and apparently has plenty of time for travel as well. Texas seems to be on her hit list and itinery.

  8. Was just looking at the cub picture and several of us went on to earn Eagle Scout: Dave, Phil, me, and maybe Kevin(?). Did I miss anyone? Phil was out one of those sweating beside me during my Eagle project, landscaping work at the Lutheran church. I miss you, old buddy, see you later when I get up there.
